About IAM Union
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) is one of North America’s largest and most diverse labor unions, representing nearly 600,000 active and retired members. About Guide Dogs of America
Guide Dogs of America provides guide dogs and training to blind and visually impaired individuals, free of charge. Founded in 1948 by a blind Machinist, GDA has transformed the lives of over 2,000 individuals in the U.S. and Canada. The organization relies entirely on private donations and fundraising efforts, as it receives no federal or state funding.
By partnering with Guide Dogs of America, the Spirit of the Midwest empowers individuals to regain independence, confidence, and mobility. Together, they ensure that lives are changed and communities are strengthened through compassion and action.
